Musings on 2024

As were getting ready to kick off our season in 2025, it’s hard not to reflect back on 2024. If I had to describe 2024 in one word, I’d use the word "change."

Early in 2024, we signed the lease on our new Lake Oswego store. In February, we found out we we’re losing our lease at our Tigard location and had to rush to move our Tigard store to Beaverton. It was bedlam. The staff rallied and we managed to be closed 7 days. We got notice we had to leave, and 37 days later, we had a lease and a new store! It was very a humbling. We had customers, friends, trail builders and family of the staff all helping us with the move. It brought me to tears. Grateful isn’t a strong enough word.

We opened our store in Lake Oswego at the end of August after a few months of construction. From February to August was very hectic and very exciting.

More change. Our sales manager, Garret was married in July. Our longest tenured employee and manager, Steven, was also married (finally) in October. I hired Steven when he was a snot nosed kid and it’s been amazing to see him mature and grow along side Kenzie. November 15th, my wife and I welcomed our second baby girl! After 20 years in the bike industry, our guy Tim retired. We’re happy for him but sad for us.

December and January have been a season of rest.

Jumping into 2025 is pretty exciting. It’ll be nice to not have to move a shop and build a shop and get back to serving our communities. With the heavy lifting behind us, we are going to have time to start group rides and hold clinics and get some trail work done!

As we look forward to spring, we are beginning to plan our Grand Openings and spring sale. Watch for the dates on our socials and news letter. (We currently have great deals on 2024 product so no need to wait till our sale!)

A little more news on the staff front. We are very happy for our operations manager Will, as he welcomed his new daughter into the world. Last but not least, our service manager, Zane will also be getting married this spring.

Thanks for taking the time to read this, it got a little long but so much has happened!

See you out there!
